Blank canvas. That’s what Miuccia Prada insisted 2013 will bring for her brand – a new beginning. Spring/Summer 2013 was reduced to a march of basic clean clothes sported by males and females, older and younger. Gender-oblivious and repetitive. “Same and equal,” said Miuccia. Even the shoes which are usually showstoppers and trendsetters on their own were conformed to a pair of unisex sandals throughout the whole show, taking Prada back to the pre-blogger 90s before all the crazy bananas, flames and golf attire. As for me, I don’t know what 2013 has in store but I can see new beginnings on the horizon. 2012 is proving to be a fantastic year and things are about to get even better. Can’t spill anything for now…
