Before his eponymous label Tommy Hilfiger, came People’s Place. Opened in the 1970s when Tommy was just a teenager, it quickly became the coolest spot in his hometown of Elmira in New York with styles inspired by the iconic rock stars of the ‘70s.
Now Hilfiger Denim is celebrating Tommy’s earliest design inspirtions with the People’s Place Originals collection – think vintage rock ‘n’ roll that pays homage to the irreverent spirit of the ‘70s done with a modern fashion eye. Read: totally and completely up my alley. So I thought it was perfect to shoot this look where I grew up and the place that inspired me so much and still does to this day: my own hometown of Nadur!
