A couple of months ago I shared the news with you guys that luxury giant Karen Millen was finally hitting the Malta shores. The positive feedback was alarming and I quickly came to realize – the Maltese women are fans. Now we’re days away from the store finally opening its doors. I feel evil for talking about things that aren’t available yet, but don’t worry, you’ll get to experience the concentrated perfection at Karen Millen very soon!
Being a fashion blogger, I usually end up looking at fashion items with my ‘cost-per-wear’ eye, calculating everything from wearability and quality to price and longevity. So when I first saw the Karen Millen collection up close one thing was for sure – these clothes are not seasonal. These aren’t the clothes that you buy one season and quickly push to the back of your closet the next. The quality is top notch making every piece an investment that is set to sit at the front of your wardrobe for a long time. This makes for a very good combination, and more importantly, a curated wardrobe full of good quality staples that double up as stylish.
Some personal favourites from the Autumn/Winter ’14 collection include a very sharp vest coat hybrid, the boots and everything leather. Oh yeah did I mention they’re getting shoes and accessories too in Malta? You’re welcome. And last but surely not least – that glittery tux. Thank you Karen Millen for always knowing how to feed my shiny addiction.
What I love the most about Karen Millen is what it stands for: quality and style, with no compromise in between. The Karen Millen woman is the woman that can go anywhere from stylin’ casuals to work, a dinner party with friends to an off-duty weekend look and still look like herself. Also worth mentioning is that Karen Millen in Malta will retain the same price points as in the UK, and will not be any higher!
Karen Millen opens next week in Valletta next to Tico Tico
