Everyone knows I love me a girl that wears an embellished snapback hat to go with her Venus flytrap and psychedelic leopard prints (?!). I kid I kid…although I am very fond of the juxtaposition used. Following the crazy amount of Cavalli gowns at the Cannes Film Festival, Roberto found the time to re-ignite his lower priced Just Cavalli line with enough hues to colour a country for the Resort 2013 collection.
While the collection is very over-the-top, head-to-toe white looks helped break the Indian extravaganza print blocking down a bit – as did the insertion of denim pants, high-waisted shorts and minimal skirts. Just Cavalli Resort 2012 is Just Beautiful. It’s also Just A Crossover Between Givenchy and Versace though…
First of all, an apology for the video-heavy past two weeks – camera issues! The real blog posts will resume shortly. In the meantime, check out the fresh outta the Cannes oven short film ‘A Therapy’ directed by legendary Roman Polanski for Prada featuring equally-as-legendary actress Helena Bonham Carter and Ben Kingsley. Can anyone not understand him for being mesmerized by that furtastic coat?
Coming a little over a year after Burberry’s game-changing live phenomenon in Beijing, which included virtual image technology combining live models, holograms and live-streaming via the brand website, last week Hugo Boss launched its live counterpart – the 3D “New Dimension Beijing” event. You can watch the BOSS Black Autumn/Winter 2012 below in case you missed the 3D twist to the livestreaming sensation. If missing 3D glasses, click here to watch the 2D version on the Hugo Boss website. Enjoy!
Let’s take a second and admire the original ‘Devil Wears Prada’ wearing surprise, a Schiaparelli-inspired Prada dress to her visit to Atlantis…err…the Metropolitan Museum of Art Gala. Is it just me or are lobsters in Vogue right now?
